10 Colorful Detox Waters that will flush toxins out of your body

Whether you're trying to flush toxins from your system, fight belly bloat, water retention, nourish your metabolism or simply find an healthy alternative to your soda, Detox Water is one of the best option to refresh and hydrate your body.

 

The combination of ingredients you can use is limitless, but here are my favorite ones. 

 

 

 

1) STRAWBERRY, LEMON, CUCUMBER DETOX WATER

 

 

All you need is some spring or filtered water, some fresh strawberries, cucumbers and lemons.

The water/ingredient proportion is really variable, but I recommend:

  • 2 quarts of water (about 8 cups)

  • 1 1/2 cup of strawberries

  • 1/2 cucumber

  • 1 Lemon

Just slice the ingredients as you prefer after deep washing them and then toss everything into a big jar and cover with water. You can put it in the refrigerator for few hours or add some ices cubes.

 

Tip: try to add some mint leves!

 

 

 

2)  WATERMELON, LEMON, MINT DETOX WATER

 

 

Again, all you need is some spring or filtered water, few slices of watermelon, lemon & some fresh mint leaves. This recipe is delicious especially as a cooling and hydrating drink during summer time.

 

The water/ingredient proportion is really variable here, as well for all the others detox water recipes, but I recommend:

  • 2 quarts of water (about 8 cups)

  • 4 Triangular slices of Watermelon

  • 1 Lemon

  • Few mint leaves

You can cut the ingredients as you want. Let your imagination run wild and try to cut the watermelon in different shapes. I chose round ones, but you can cut it into little triangles, squares or also you can use your kitchen cutters tools to try cool shapes.

 

 

 

3) LEMON MINT DETOX WATER

 

 

Here is one of the most popular detox water recipe.

The combination of Lemon & Mint is a freshness explosion for your taste buds.


I suggest to sip it during all your day. You can fill your water bottle and bring it with you at work. It's refreshing, detoxifying and great if you have bloat belly problems. Also, lemons provide lots of Vitamin C which is great for you!

  • 2 cup of spring or purified water

  • 1 Lemon (half squeeze half chopped)

  • Few whole mint leaves, do not chop 

 

 

 

4) STRAWBERRY LEMON CHIA SEEDS DETOX WATER

 

 

This is absolutely one of my favorite detox water! The combination between Lemon and Strawberries is already amazing by itself, but adding Chia seeds you bring it to another taste level. 

Chia seeds are a nutrient dense superfood, packed with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and hight in dietary fiber, proteins, plant-based omega-3s and are a perfect addiction for your water since so small that you can swallow them easily.

 

Try this combination:

  • 2 quarts of water (about 8 cups)

  • 1 1/2 cup of strawberries

  • 1 Lemon

  • few mint leaves

  • 1 tbsp of Chia Seeds added to each glass of water

 

 

 

5) CUCUMBER LEMON GINGER DETOX WATER

 

 

If you like ginger as much as I do this is the perfect detox water for you. 

Is basically a lemons & cucumbers detox water with a spicy kick thanks to the ginger. Ginger is one of the most ancient spices worldwide and definitely a detox ingredient you don’t want to skip. It has, indeed, powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. Also, it is a powerful carminative (a substance which prevent formation of gas in the gastrointestinal tract and promotes the elimination of them) and a good intestinal spasmolytic (a substance which relaxes and soothes the intestinal tract).

 

Here's my suggestion of how to build your drink:

  • About 8 cups of water (little bit less than 2 litres)

  • 1 1/2 cucumber

  • 1 Lemon

  • 1 inch fresh ginger root ( you can add more if you like it spicy)

  • few mint leaves (optional)

 

You can both slice or grate the ginger root. If you grate it the taste will be stronger.

 

 

 

6)  CUCUMBER LEMON DETOX WATER

 

 

If you have ever been in a SPA you have surely tried this detox water. 

The mix between lemon and cucumber is indeed very common yet refreshing and detoxifying.

 

Lemon is an excellent and rich source of vitamin C, very important for a healthy immune system.

Also, it aids in digestion of food, making the process of eliminating the waste products from the body easier.

Cucumber are a good source of Vitamins B and also help you keeps hydrate and flush out toxins.

 

The water/ingredient proportion is really variable, but I recommend:

  • 2 quarts of water (about 8 cups)

  • 1/2 cucumber

  • 1 Lemon

You can add the lemon in thin slices or squeeze it directly into the water.

I love to drink this detox water very cold. If you like cold refreshing drinks try to put few ice cubes in each glass.

 

 

 

7) CINNAMON APPLE DETOX WATER

 

 

Probably one of the fancier detox water recipe I've tried. The combination between apple and cinnamon is very popular for food recipes yet not so popular for detox drinks.

 

Try this recipe using cinnamon sticks. They will give a more a subtle and delicate taste than cinnamon powder.

 

Add to about 2 liters of spring water (2 quarts):

  • 2 medium red apples sliced (you don't have to peel them)

  • 4 cinnamon sticks

Do not expect a strong and sweet taste! It very delicate.

 

 

 

 

8) BLUEBERRY ORANGE DETOX WATER

 

 

Beautifully delicious, this detox water recipe mix the great health proprieties of oranges and blueberries.

 

The water/ingredient proportion is really variable, but I recommend:

  • 2 quarts of water (about 8 cups)

  • 1 big orange

  • 1 1/2 cup of blueberries

I like to serve each glass of blueberry - orange water with a spoon next to it.

Who wouldn't love to scoop up and eat the blueberries after drinking the water?

 

 

 

 

9)  RASPBERRY LEMON MINT DETOX WATER

 

 

Hight in Vitamin C, this detox drink is meant to keep you hydrated while eliminating toxins from your body and boosting your immunity.

All you need are some fresh organic raspberries, a lemon, and a few fresh mint leaves.

 

Try to add to 2 quarts of water (little bit less than 2 liters) 

  • 1 1/2 cup of fresh raspberries

  • 1 lemon

  • Few mint leaves

Tip: Try to add some basil leaves too!

 

 

10)  GRAPEFRUIT LEMON DETOX WATER

 

 

Last but not least, grapefruit lemon infuse water!

If you love citrus fruits, you will love this colorful and slimming combination. This drink is indeed ideal for weight loss and for boosting your metabolism. 

Also, thanks to the hight level of Vitamin C, it will help you strength your immune system. 

 

Try this recipe adding to about 8 cups of spring or purified fresh water:

  • 1 Lemon

  • 1 big grapefruit

I added about 1/2 cucumber for boosting the detoxifying power. But you must try it with few sage leaves for more of an interesting taste.
